Commercial Property

McD BERL enhances commercial properties by designing low-energy buildings with passive strategies, urban-scale cooling, and advanced facade engineering. We create glare-free, 100% daylit environments with low EPI and energy-efficient MEP systems.
Commercial properties are evolving to meet the growing demand for sustainable, efficient, and healthy spaces. Modern commercial buildings aim to achieve net-zero energy consumption, maximize natural daylight, and provide a healthy indoor environment for occupants. Key elements include advanced facade design, selecting the right materials for durability and sustainability, and implementing systems that ensure low Energy Performance Index (EPI). These features not only reduce operational costs but also enhance the well-being and productivity of occupants
McD BERL, is an industry leader in achieving the lowest EPI, having designed the world’s lowest energy-consuming building. We reduce envelope heat gain to 1/10th of conventional buildings through advanced facade design and the selection of optimal materials, making our buildings 100% daylit and glare-free. By right-sizing MEP systems without relying on rules of thumb and selecting the best systems through parametric analysis and simulations using advanced software and our proprietary tools, we ensure peak efficiency. Our designs also incorporate natural ventilation strategies, passive cooling, and low-energy cooling systems, setting new standards in sustainable building.

Infosys Nagpur

The Infosys Nagpur project is a sustainable campus featuring a wide range of advanced systems. The focus is on energy efficiency, with optimized HVAC systems, energy-efficient lighting, and renewable energy integration. Water management is also prioritized through rainwater harvesting and wastewater recycling. Additionally, the campus design incorporates natural lighting and ventilation, creating a comfortable and environmentally responsible workspace. This project exemplifies Infosys’s commitment to green building practices and sustainable development.

Bharatiya City SEZ3

The Bharatiya City SEZ3 in Bangalore is a 1.5 million square foot project where we provided services in sustainability, public health engineering, fire safety, HVAC, and building management systems. The project emphasizes cost-effective and environmentally sustainable design, with a focus on optimizing operational practices, ensuring comfort, and incorporating smart functionality for efficient building management.

Infosys Bhubaneswar

The Infosys Bhubaneswar project is a 4.5 lakh square foot facility that has achieved IGBC Platinum certification. Designed with sustainability in mind, the building features horizontal and vertical shading devices that significantly reduce solar heat gain, leading to a highly efficient envelope load of 0.79 W/sqft. Additionally, 80% of the areas are fully daylit, and the air conditioning system is remarkably efficient, serving 675 sqft/TR. The building’s Energy Performance Index (EPI) is 74 kWh/m²/yr, far below conventional designs.
